Once Christopher told them of his decision to play out, they warned him that the transition would take some work but if he wanted to make the change they would support him all the way. As far as Cathy Menard is concerned, with out family support, a young hockey player doesn’t have a chance. You can find Cathy and her husband Chris rink side 4 or 5 night a week making Christopher’s hockey schedule a priority in their household.
Cathy is hopeful that Christopher’s decision will be a lesson he can draw on throughout his life. That you don’t have to remain stuck in the same position or on a particular path. That you are in control and you make your own decisions in this life.
